The Boys, a superhero-themed series released by Amazon Prime, successfully captivated many circles last summer. The Boys is set in a world where a team of superheroes known as "The Seven", are the most famous superhumans and are treated like big celebrities. They and other superhumans are under the auspices of a giant conglomerate organization called Vought International, which has ambitious goals, not only to gain sponsorship of various commercial products, but also contracts with the government to make the Seven like a special division of the US military.

The Seven themselves are superhumans who are later known to be the most immoral and power hungry, especially their leader Homelander. The other six members of the Seven are Queen Maeve, The Deep (a water human who is a sexual predator), the A-Train sprinter, the transparent human Translucent, the mysterious all-black costume, Black Noir, and the innocent new recruit, Starlight. .

Meanwhile, The Boys is a collection of ordinary people sponsored by the government to oversee the actions of superhumans. They carry out special operations to expose the depravity of the Seven and Vought International to the world. The Boys consists of Billy Butcher, a man who hates superheroes, Hughie Campbell, a shop clerk who is grieving because his lover died by A-Train and wants revenge, Marvin aka Mother's Milk, a French ballistics man named Frenchie, and a mysterious girl. He has a fatal ability called The Female, one of the results of the Vought International super villain's experimental project who later became part of them.

Hughie's lover was killed by A-Train, but at a press conference, A-Train issued a statement that made him seem innocent. To trap the A-Train, the Boys then conduct surveillance on Popclaw, a superhuman who has a special relationship with A-Train.

The Boys kill Translucent. Meanwhile, due to an accidental meeting, Hughie falls in love with Annie January, who he doesn't know that Annie is Starlight.

The fact is revealed that superhumans are not the result of natural birth, but the result of Compound V, a physical performance enhancing serum secretly developed by Vought International, to create superhumans and supervillains that they can later control.

The Boys is adapted from the 2006-2012 comic series of the same name by Garth Ennis, which previously produced Preacher.
