In the Eastern European country of Sokovia, Avengers – Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow ( Scarlett Johansson), and Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) – attack the Hydra outpost led by Baron Wolfgang von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann). The Hydra that had been experimenting on humans used the wand that previously belonged to Loki.
They discovered two of Strucker's experiments. The twins Maximoff Pietro (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who have super speed. And Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen), who has telekinetic abilities, manipulates thoughts and projects energy. Rogers catches Strucker. Meanwhile Stark picks up his wand after Wanda implants a fearful vision of a bleak future in his mind.
Back at the team's headquarters – Avengers Towers (formerly Stark Tower) – Stark and Banner discover artificial intelligence in Loki's wand gem. Secretly plans to use it to complete Stark's 'Ultron' global defense program. After many failed attempts, they set off for a victory party to celebrate the recapture of the scepter. Unbeknownst to them, the program comes alive.
An unexpected Ultron (James Spader) awakens, believing that he must eradicate humanity to save Earth. Also defeats Stark's AI, JARVIS (Paul Bettany). Disguised as one of Stark's Iron Legion robotic drones, Ultron attacks the Avengers as they relax together after their party. Leaving with his wand, Ultron uses the resources within Sokovia Strucker's base to upgrade his rudimentary body. He also built an army of drone robots. After killing Strucker, Ultron later met and recruited the Maximoff twins. Yang holds Stark responsible for the deaths of their parents because of his company's weapons.
The Emergence of Vision
The trio head to the arms dealer Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) base at the African shipyard to obtain Wakandan vibranium. The Avengers chased them there. But Wanda conquers all of them except Stark and Barton with haunting visions. Causes Banner as the Hulk to rampage through a nearby town until Stark stops him with his Hulk-buster armor. A worldwide counterattack to the devastation and fear stemming from Wanda's hallucinations sends the team to Barton's safe house.
Seeing no right answer, Thor goes to consult his friend Dr Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgard) about the meaning of the apocalyptic future he sees in his hallucinations. Meanwhile Romanoff and Banner discuss the possibility of going out together after realizing their mutual attraction. However, Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) arrives and encourages the team to fight back and stop Ultron.
Turning to Seoul, Ultron forces his Avengers friend and ally Dr. Helen Cho (Claudia Kim) to use her synthetic tissue technology. Together with vibranium and gem scepter, to perfect a new body for him. When Ultron uploads into a synthetic body, Wanda is then able to read his mind, and discovers his plan to exterminate humanity. Horrified, Maximoff blames Ultron and joins Rogers to distract him. Meanwhile Romanoff and Barton took his synthetic body. However, Ultron captures Romanoff while Barton reluctantly takes his body back to Stark and Banner in the Avengers Tower, followed by Rogers and the twins.
The Avengers fight amongst themselves when Stark secretly uploads JARVIS. Which is still operating after hiding from Ultron deep in the Internet – into a synthetic body. Thor returns to help activate the body. Explains that the gem attached to his forehead – one of the six Infinity Stones. The most powerful thing in existence. Turn it into Vision.

But Ultron steals the Quinjet Avengers and keeps running in a desperate attempt to stop the evacuation.
Pietro is killed while protecting Barton from Ultron's fire. The Hulk jumps into the Quinjet and forcibly drives Ultron away. Leaving him vulnerable to the vengeful Wanda, who abandons her post to destroy Ultron's main body. This then allows one of the drones to activate the engine. The Hulk, unwilling to harm Romanoff by being with him, heads to the Quinjet. Meanwhile Vision confronts and destroys Ultron's last remaining body.
