The White Lotus is the latest HBO series, created by Mike White . The storyline of this series is the events that occur and are experienced at a hotel called White Lotus, with the focus of the story on two families and the hotel manager named Armond ( Murray Bartlett ).
The White Lotus series consists of 6 episodes with a conclusion that makes the ending laugh while bringing the audience involved in each episode to rethink several things related to family relationships, marriage to socialization between humans.
The scenes in each episode are hilariously displayed, giving a satirical touch to today's modern life that cannot be separated from power and technology. The pressure from work to love problems to infidelity is neatly expressed but still presents scenes that bring the audience's mood and in the end give smiles and laughter.
Everything that seems perfect, turns out to have an aspect of darkness that slowly emerges, and this makes the people involved in this situation, have to decide to accept it and "swallow" every event that happens or act in their own way. In this case, Armond, decided to take action that he thought was important and needed to be done, to teach a lesson. But realistically, he was actually digging a hole that was getting deeper day by day, so that finally a thought crossed his mind who was already feeling tired mentally and physically from all the situations and conditions that had occurred at White Lotus. When he proudly and happily executes strategies and takes revenge, he too must suffer the consequences of his actions.
The two families that are the focus of attention in this series, with a good socioeconomic background, it can be said economically and in power, they have all these things and are able to make to direct someone to do the things they want. These things when clashed with the average person, produce social frictions, which Mike White subtly inserts , so that what the audience feels are hilarious scenes and dialogues.
This series is suitable to watch for those who like sitcoms, through HBO GO .
